This feasibility study addresses the theme of an "intelligent social residence" from different points of view, on the premise that the problem to be addressed is a complex one given the varied nature of the many issues it implies. These issues range from the economic and technological, to the social issues of residential dynamics and the regeneration of peripheral areas. This pragmatic approach was conceived within UNINDUSTRIA, the Association of Industrialists of Treviso, with a research team composed of professionals (architects, engineers, etc.) and businesses (financial and economic analysts, computer systems). The design premises included prefabrication as a cost-containing tool on the one hand, and the home as a provider of services to the individual and the community on the other. The Smart Social Home was also the theme of a Bootcamp promoted in 2015 by the Università di Ca' Foscari that focused on research involving the city of Treviso.
